
Licensed behavior analysts use learning-based methods to treat people diagnosed with a behavioral health condition. For example, they help their clients in areas such as managing behavior; social interactions; self-help and safety skills; communication; and academic and vocational skills. Examples of services:
- create treatment plans and activities to help clients with their behaviors
- develop treatment goals, protocols, and data collection systems
- analyze data to assess progress and refine treatment goals
- coordinate with family members and other health professionals
Certified behavior analyst assistants provide treatment as assigned by a Licensed Behavior Analyst.

Experience

Supervised experience (one or more years) acceptable to the State Education Department and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
Examination

Certification exam administered by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
