Psychologists research all forms of human behavior, cognition, and emotion, using methods of observation and evaluation to interpret and modify behavior. Examples of services:
- diagnose and treat mental, nervous, emotional, and behavioral disorders, disabilities, and illnesses
- provide market research, personnel selection, and workforce management services to organizations
- research, evaluate, and treat addictions
- administer and interpret tests of mental abilities, interests, personality, and emotions to develop treatment plans
- establish rehabilitation programs for neuropsychological disorders
- work with educators to address factors that influence learning
