Education Requirements

“Units of credit” toward a landscape architect’s license are based on your education and experience. You will need 12 units of combined education and experience for licensure. Your experience requirement will depend on the units granted for your education; generally, at least  3-4 years of landscape architectural work experience will be required. Almost 95% of New York’s landscape architects have at least a bachelor’s degree.
