Expedited Licensing Services for Military Spouses Relocated to New York State

The New York State Education Department's Office of the Professions is pleased to announce expedited licensing services for certain spouses of members of the military who are transferred by the military to New York State.

Chapter 299 of the Laws of 2016 amends Education Law §6501 to provide for the expedited licensing of military spouses who, among other things, hold out-of-state professional licenses for which the requirements for licensure of such other state are substantially equivalent to the requirements for licensure in this state. This law is effective March 8, 2017.

Instructions and forms for these expedited licensing services is now available on our http:/about/military-spouses-relocated-new-york-state-expedited-licensing-services
