Members of the public will be allowed to observe the Board of Midwifery meeting.  For security purposes, valid Government issued identification will be required for entry into the State Education Department building. Those planning to attend must email their full name to the Midwifery Board office at midwifbd@nysed.gov at least 48 hours in advance.  Failure to notify the Board office may result in delayed entry into the meeting.

Notice: Chapter 417 of the Laws of 2021, (Part E) effective September 2, 2021, allows State and local government entities to meet remotely by conference call or similar service. Thus, allowing virtual meetings to continue to be held until June 14, 2022.

Because of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency and State and Federal bans on large meetings or gatherings and pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.1 issued on March 12, 2020 suspending the Open Meetings Law, the Board for Midwifery Meeting scheduled for June 10, 2020 will be held electronically via WebEx instead of a public meeting open for the public to attend in person.
