Ch 530 CPA Licensure Pathways and Practice Privilege

On November 21, 2025, the Governor signed Chapter 530, which pertains to the licensure requirements for Certified Public Accountants (CPA) and Practice Privilege. The law will become effective on November 21, 2026.

Until such time that the law becomes effective and the regulatory changes are in place, the existing licensing pathways will remain in place.

Once the amended regulations are adopted by the Board of Regents, the Office of the Professions will update its website to reflect the most current information around CPA licensure and endorsement. Revised requirements, and FAQs will be posted closer to the effective date and prospective applicants are encouraged to check the CPA pages on our website for additional information.
