Voluntary Compliance Agreements

Related to Potential Illegal Practice

The practice of a profession is a public trust, earned through educational preparation, experience, the passing of rigorous examinations, and the commitment by each professional to serving the public. Public protection is of the utmost importance to the New York State Board of Regents and the State Education Department. This voluntary compliance agreement information is being provided to help consumers obtain professional services from those who have met the qualifications for a New York State license.

The persons listed below signed agreements, on the date indicated, to cease any actions that may have violated Section 6512 or 6513 of the Education Law relating to the unauthorized practice or unauthorized use of professional title in the profession indicated. Education Law 6510 only permits the Department to disclose details of investigations concerning violations of professional misconduct or the illegal practice of the professions that result in final action by the New York State Board of Regents. The information on the following compliance agreements is based on waivers signed by the individuals identified.

A violation of the agreement may result in a referral to the Office of the Attorney General for criminal prosecution. Reports of potential illegal practice of the licensed professions may be filed with the Education Department by calling 1-800-442-8106 or by submitting a complaint form. For further information:
