Introduction

The following questions represent a sample of Education Law, Articles 130 and 159, the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, Part 75, and the Rules of the Board of Regents, Part 29. It is your professional responsibility to know the legal requirements governing the practice of your profession and to be alert to changes in those requirements. This test is intended to provide you with a measure of your working knowledge of those requirements.

  • A score of 40 is perfect and indicates you have a satisfactory understanding of law, rules and regulations.
  • A score of 30-39 is good, but indicates which areas of law, rules, or regulations to read over.
  • A score of 15-29 is borderline and indicates a need to study the law, rules and regulations more thoroughly.
  • A score below 15 indicates that you have an unacceptable understanding of the law, rules and regulations pertaining to the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology.
