Professional Misconduct and Discipline

Professional misconduct by licensed speech-language pathologists and audiologists is investigated and prosecuted by the Office of Professional Discipline. Complaints of misconduct should be made to the Office of Professional Discipline, New York State Education Department Office of the Professions. You may call that office at 1-800-442-8106.

Employment Opportunities in New York City Department of Education

Immediate employment opportunities are available with the New York City Department of Education in the area of bilingual speech. Licensed speech-language pathologists who do not hold school certification should review new regulatory provisions approved by the Board of Regents in July, 2005. Experience gained in non-school settings may be given to bilingual speech providers.
