Attention All CPAs or PAs Who Are Currently in an "Inactive" or "Not Registered" Status

A new public accountancy law went into effect on July 26, 2009. This law broadens the scope of practice regulated by the State. Under the law, any CPA or Public Accountant who works for a private industry, governmental, not-for-profit, academic or public accounting employer and who does any kind of accounting, tax, finance, management advisory or consulting services for that employer MUST have an “active” registration status and MUST meet the mandatory Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements.

You may check your current registration status here. To reactivate your registration online, click here. You will need to know your six digit CPA or PA license number. Your login PIN will be the capital letter "P" and your six-digit date of birth (e.g. Pmmddyy)

You may review the new law and regulations on this site. The mandatory CPE requirements are detailed in the Questions and Answers section.
