Advisory Notices:
- Effective September 25, 2009, the new registration fee for professional engineers and land surveyors is $287. This new fee includes the $45 dollar continuing education fee. For additional information - see "2009 Registration Fee Surcharge"
- The April 2010 Examination Administration Filing Deadline for the Principles and Practice of Engineering Examination - PE (Part B) has been changed
from November 1, 2009 to October 16 2009.
- As a result of the State's ongoing fiscal crisis, we are experiencing
considerable delays in the processing of applications. In order to allow
adequate processing time, the revised application deadline for the April
licensing exam is October 16, 2009. Given this change, we will make every
effort to provide a review of those applications postmarked by November
1, 2009, although reviews for submissions after October 16 cannot be
guaranteed. You are strongly encouraged to submit applications at the
earliest possible date. We apologize for the delays and any inconvenience.
- The deadline for the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination - FE (Part
A) will remain November 1, 2009.
- Upon approval from the Board to sit for the April 2010 licensing examination(s) you must submit the scheduling form and fee to our exam administrator, Castle Worldwide, by the February 10, 2010 postmarked deadline.
- The deadline for the Fundamentals of Surveying - FS (Part 1), Principles
and Practice of Surveying - PS (Part 2) and the New York State Specific
(Part 3) examinations will remain November 1, 2009.
- The State Board for Engineering and Land Surveying has approved a new "
New York State Specific Land Surveying Examination
Test Blueprint" effective for the upcoming October 2009 exam administration.
