Important Information Concerning Seals for New Licenses
New York State Education Law1 and the Regulations
of the Commissioner of Education require that architects,
landscape architects, land surveyors and
professional engineers have a seal, approved by
the board for each profession, for affixing to all drawings and
specifications submitted to public officials. Below are the
statute and regulations that establish the requirements for the
manufacture of these seals. If you have questions, please contact
the Office of the Professions at op4info@mail.nysed.gov or
518-474-3817.
