Presentation and Discussion:

  • Scope of Practice for Podiatry and Bone Biopsy related to Wound Care.

Members of the NYS Podiatry Board and that Board's Executive Secretary will be available to review scope of practice issues and to specifically discuss the issues surrounding tibular bone biopsy.

  • Internationally Trained Physicians and Physician Licensure in New York State.

William Murphy, Director, Professional Education; Paul Sheehan, Education Credentials Specialist; and Dr. Roger Oskvig, Member of the Board for Medicine.  Mr. Murphy and Mr. Sheehan will review the policies and procedures for licensure of graduates of foreign medical schools and the role of the Board.  Dr. Oskvig will follow with guidelines and resources available for Board Members to use in their evaluation of the credentials of international medical graduates.

  • FSMB Annual Meeting.

Dr. Oskvig will discuss the agenda issues for the next FSMB annual meeting, scheduled for April.
